Born from a British father, who has a family that has lived all over the world, and a French mother, studied in 3 different countries and worked for various companies at the “other end of the world” many of the questions asked during these cultural identity sessions were questions that people have been asking me during my whole life.
I very much appreciated the experience over the two days.
A good mix of theoretical and practical reflection upon myself added to intense sharing moments with people I had just met but could very easily relate to.
Concluding that I come from and belong directly and indirectly to many places in the world, even to some I haven’t even been to yet.
A sense of belonging is something you build over time, not necessarily where your life “geographically” started.
Big thanks to the Holland for organizing this lovely event with lovely people and brilliant food also !
