We have had the opportunity to have My sharing with our team at Colliers International on the importance of having good communication practice at work for ultimate mental health. My was able to relate with her audience without being condescending and was able to coax the team into sharing on a subject which may still be taboo in Asia. Being able to discuss and share in an open and safe environment, My facilitated a session which was the beginning to a healthier journey to many. I am certain the team will take to heart some of the reminders on maintaining an active lifestyle with a healthy balanced diet and reflect often on our state of mind very useful in working towards better state of mind. Thank you again, My.
I got the chance to work with my on a talk for INGO in HCMC, and she was such a great inspiration for all of us, pushing us to take a step back and understand how we can get stronger but also protect outselves to keep on the good work. Thank you, My!!
I would like to express my appreciation for your inspiring presentation at Eurocham "Low engagement. Poor performance”. Your years of research, your depth of understanding of “The New Normal”, and your ability to present the subject in such an interesting way produced one of the most memorable time for my week. One last thing, I want you to know that what you said had a significant impact on me and many of the participants. Thank you.
"I attended My's workshop about Happiness at Work on My 23rd and I was amazed by what I learnt and the way it was introduced through small group exercises. She is really passionate about her job and the way she explained is so entertaining that you cannot forget this experience. She reminds us that we are humans connected with emotions, not a machines with cost and performance. Our energy comes from our happiness. The value she bring to the company and large organizations is measurable in term of revenues and reputation. A happy employee considers his company as its second family. He/She will give the best naturally. I highly recommend My to any organization struggling to retain talents, specially in Vietnam where staff turnover is high and trust at workplace is among the world lowest.
"I joined a workshop about EQ & its link to Happines by Ms My Holland in April this year. It was very informative, interactive and enjoyable workshop. I really like it and will definitely participate in her program whenever possible. I'm currently reading her book "Happiness is the Way" too. Thank you Ms My!"
MmFFusion leaders had the chance to experience a session with My, called "Authentic Leadership". Inspirational moment for all of us. Thanks My. I would recommend her without hesitation.
Ms My Holland joined SCU in Coffs Harbour as a casual tutor during the time I was working there as a lecturer. My soon proved her skills and commitment to teaching quality and was given several tasks with the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, tutoring, marking and lecturing a range of topics. I had personally the pleasure to work with My in the unit 'Communication in Organisation' - a core learning unit for all Bachelor of Business students. Her multi-cultural career, as well as her inspirational personality, acted as concrete examples for the students of the importance of, and possibilities good communication skills can bring.
I worked alongside My Holland at SCU's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. At My's request I peer reviewed her teaching and observed that My demonstrated a genuine sincerity for the students’ learning and wellbeing. She conveyed kindness and approachability. The particular unit which My was teaching when I peer reviewed her had been moved from a 3rd year unit to a 1st year unit. I believe My did an excellent job at de-constructing difficult material in order to facilitate the students' learning.
My is an effective and dynamic communicator, manager, and trainer, and she possesses skills, qualifications and experience that she demonstrated not only as a Board Member of the French School of Sydney but also in many other positions requiring cross-cultural sensitivity and creativity.
I have been liaising with My when she was coordinating the advertising recruitment campaign for Leighton Holdings Internal Audit. She was efficient, professional but friendly, dynamic and an excellent communicator. Looking forward to working with My again
It was a pleasure working with My. She was very flexible as I was looking for someone qualified with a high attention to detail to validate our TAFE Business units for compliance. It’s amazing how easy it is to communicate with her as most of our interaction was electronic. I am very satisfied with her analytical input for our business units which are Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma level. I am looking forward to working with her again. - Linda Johnston
I had the pleasure to work with My at SCU when we were colleagues at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. She is very easy to work with, and developed a credible and caring relationship with her students. My taught Communication in Organisations, and always shared interesting anecdotes with her domestic and international students: she worked in Asia for some time. My's diverse life experiences and on task focus together added valuable dimensions to her approach to adult learning. - A/Prof. Kurt Seemann
I first met My when she was studying for her Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Later, she worked in my team as an academic to run the Business Language and Learning unit at the Coffs Harbour campus, while I was based at Lismore campus and employed another tutor at the Beachside campus. It was easy to communicate and work with her despite the distance. She is very diligent in her work and truly works to understand her students' academic and cultural needs. Her intercultural communication skills are definitely an asset as she is able to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
As a peer of My, we have had many thoughtful exchanges about lecturing and pedagogy. My is a dedicated and generous educator and facilitator that engages with individuals as well as communities to foster learning and change.
I had the pleasure to work with My as she reviewed and validated all my business units at TAFE. These are from Diploma to Grad Cert in Business, Emotional Intelligence, Strategy, Leadership… I was very grateful for her input as she is very diligent and was working under tight deadline. She provided very useful analytical feedback. I am looking forward to collaborate with her again. Phill Chambers
My is full of energy, very dynamic and developed an excellent relationship with her Communications in Organisation students. The fact that she worked in difference organisations overseas brought interesting light to her class. She is a team player: she gave us some insight about modelling grades in an automated excel file she shared with all the team! This was so useful and we welcomed her initiative in being pro active. Looking forward to working with you again." Thanks in advance for helping me out.
I met My at a DAWN Westpac event in Cabramatta. I was captivated by her research and talk on finding happiness in life and work. Happiness is the most important element in all areas of our life, as once we find this, life and it's challenges will become enjoyable. I'm sure many people in the workforce will benefit from her talk and guidance. I look forward to My's upcoming research work.
I recently attended a presentation with a number of business professionals where My was a guest speaker. She spoke about her passion to bring self awareness, emotional intelligence and “happiness at work” into the corporate world. I was captivated by her authenticity, knowledge and enthusiasm, along with her passion and vision, for a corporate workplace where employees are fully engaged, connected to the company vision, fully supported and acknowledged for their contribution … and happy!! Her talk was truly inspiring, as she invited us to challenge our own belief system about what is possible. Wonderful, that at last this serious topic is shared with the business community. Looking forward to attending the 2014 Tedx talk where she is also speaking.
My is so professional in her EQ assessment. It was my first EQ test and I am glad I explored this very personal area with My. This was an interesting self-awareness discovery for me. I felt comfortable with her debrief and action plan which has helped me to improve on my strengths and weaknesses. I can see why she aims to bring more emotional intelligence awareness amongst our corporate world. I'm looking forward to doing the test again to see how my EQ has improved.
My is an advocate for a kinder and happier world using the gift of facilitation which has been deservingly bestowed on someone who is authentic compassionate and naturally kind. My connects and engages with the audience through a gentle and consistent approach ensuring all participants arrive at the same destination albeit by different modes of thinking. Thank you My for being a World Kindness Goodwill Ambassador on the Mid North Coast and providing a value add to the campaign for a kinder world.
Wonderful gifted person who is an outstanding symbol of positivism and emotional intelligence!
My is an excellent facilitator who captures the hearts and minds of her participants. She is engaging and provides a truly meaningful way of reminding us all that happiness can be experienced whilst at work and in fact does contribute to our effectiveness and sense of belonging. A vert practical and deeply important workshop.
My is extremely passionate about creating happy organizations and did a great job to create the Leading Happy Workplaces conference. / She would add tremendous value to anyone who engages her.
I recently attended a talk by My Holland at the Humanity in Business 'Creating Happy Workplaces' conference in Sydney. My was excellent, inspiring the audience to think deeply and apply the techniques and concepts she taught, to their own personal circumstances. She is a very engaging speaker and expertly linked this oft-considered 'soft' topic with measurable business outcomes as well as how to create satisfying communities in which to work! A skilled and insightful consultant!
My recently led a happiness survey for our business and I must say that I was impressed by the recommendations she made. She is pragmatic, knowledgable and provide concrete and applicable solutions to improve staff moral in a company where the outcome is already very positif. I recommend highly My to any business looking for improvement within happiness at work.
My is a fabulous thinker, author and presenter. She has presented her ideas at several functions I have attended including the Coffs Harbour Business Womens Network where she has shared her knowledge of and messages about the benefits that bringing well-being and happiness to work will have, not only in the workplace but also in private relationships: family, friends, the community and by extension the inter-connected world. My's message is that happiness and emotional insight nourish our inner journeys, starting with self-awareness. She delivers this message beautifully
My recently made a presentation around Positive Culture through the French Australian Chamber of Commerce in Sydney. It was full of relevant information and useful tips on the impacts of ingraining a positive culture at work. Definitely good food for thoughts and great skills for leading a workshop on such a topic.
My is an excellent speaker and an expert in the field of EQ. I have had the pleasure of attending two of her workshops including one she ran for business leaders and members of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. My inspired the audience and provoked lively discussion on the topic of engaging millenials in the workplace as well as creating positive work environments. The second talk I have seen was equally impressive and addressed the the impact that gratitude and positive mindset play on job performance. In both cases My's audiences came away energized and equipped with practical insights. My brings a very powerful message to every event.
passionnant, très pro, on a tous à apprendre
My delivered 2 sessions for InterNations Saigon Chapter, and our members enjoyed her talks a lot. Very inspiring. Highly recommended.
My Holland taught the workshop "Tools to help you maximise your potential - managing negative emotions effectively" for RMIT Vietnam University staff and students on 22 May, 2017. I was impressed by her professionalism, sense of responsibility, and the passion that she put into this workshop. She connected with our student before the workshop to ensure her content was relevant to them. The combination of her in-depth knowledge of the Emotional Intelligence/Positive Psychology field with her fun, interactive facilitating style made the workshop a successful one. Staff and students left the workshop commenting, 'We wanted more workshops like this in the near future." Thank you, My, for your gift to us. We look forward to the day when you and your family reside in Vietnam.
I am inspired and motivated after receiving her presentation about mindset of success. Moreover we connected well as she rescues wildlife, meditates and is vegetarian. We need to be more mindful about our impact on our planet, our connections to people, living creatures and the mind and body.
I participated to a workshop on Emotional Intelligence conducted by My and it really opened a new horizon to me in regard to our management practice. My takes concrete example and uses tools to engage the participants so we actively contribute to our own personal development ! I am looking forward to the next opportunity to meet and learn from you ! With regards, Xavier
I worked with with My at the Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific. My was responsible for marketing of the institute. My is a delight to work with. She is intelligent, engaging and open to different ways to engaging a problem. I was my pleasure and privilege to work with My.
Ms. My is an excellent Speaker and Trainer in the field of business culture and EQ. She has a deep knowledge, passion for people development and a convincing approach to train in one of the most tough aspect of HR Management that is mindset of people. HR Academy would be pleased to have her collaboration in HR training.
My is a very talented coach. In May 2017 she successfully held a Training session in the course of our CSR program at CCIFV. She trained and motivated the participants to understand how to apply Well Being methods within their company in order to enhance sustainable productivity. She taught them essential topics to enhance happiness at work through games, group exercises, and dynamic activities, carefully innovated by herself. By attending, participants were expecting to know more about "well-being at work" and to understand positive factors in order to motivate themselves, their team, or even the company as a whole. Challenge accepted by My Holland who performed a very fruitful training!
Ms. My absolutely inspired me with her knowledgeable and down-to-earth insights regarding emotional intelligence. I believe her great works and contributions will significantly add value to the Vietnamese community in general, and more specifically helping the millennials optimize their full potential via a thorough understanding of EQ and its impacts.
My is an inspiring coach that challenges you to look at situations from a very different angle. My has taught 3 times at CO-SPACE, each time with a different angle: Happiness at Work, Successful Ladies – A Modern Chapter and Emotional Intelligence in a work environment. Each time the participants were able to take something home for them individually as well as something for their organization to try or start implementing. One question is still on my mind “Are you celebrating mistakes of your staff/in your company?”. I like My’s approach to challenge and question traditional ways and approaches to see and define ‘success'. Thank you for the inspiration!
My is an excellent speaker and an expert in the field of EQ. I have had the pleasure of attending two of her workshops including one she ran for business leaders and members of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. My inspired the audience and provoked lively discussion on the topic of engaging millennials in the workplace as well as creating positive work environments. The second talk I have seen was equally impressive and addressed the impact that gratitude and positive mindset play on job performance. In both cases My's audiences came away energized and equipped with practical insights. My brings a pvery powerful message to every event.
No doubt you have seen how much the attendants enjoyed your presentation and they were in queu for talking to you in person at the end of the event. Must say not many events I have organized so far that got such a great deal of attention and appreciation from the guests to the speaker like your case!
