Executive Women Retreat: Accents of Belonging

A Cultural Identity Retreat for Women Between Worlds
4 days. 3 nights - July 2026
Hà Nội & Yên Tử, Vietnam
Designed for women from Australia & New Zealand
Winter | School Holiday Timing
We learned to belong by adjusting. Sometimes it was our accent. Sometimes it was our name. Sometimes it was our heritage. Sometimes it was our silence. This retreat is for women who have lived between cultures — whether visibly or invisibly.

This Is For You If You:
  • Grew up between countries
  • Are a Third Culture Kid
  • Have mixed heritage
  • Changed your name to fit in
  • Simplified your story to avoid questions
  • Downplayed your background in professional spaces
  • Felt “too foreign” in one place and “not enough” in another
  • Carry both privilege and displacement This is not about race alone. It is about adaptation. It is about the quiet negotiations we made to belong.
This Is Not a Spa Retreat.
It is not about escape.
It is not about performance.
It is about exploring:
  • Cultural conditioning
  • Identity layering
  • Code-switching
  • Adaptation as intelligence
  • The cost of self-editing
  • Reclaiming the parts we softened

About the Retreat

This is a spiritual executive leadership retreat designed for multicultural women navigating complexity—across cultures, careers, identities, and life stages.
Curated by My Holland, CEO of EQuest Asia, the retreat offers a rare space to:
  • Explore identity, belonging, and leadership from within
  • Reflect on Feminine Intelligence and self-leadership
  • Decolonise leadership mindsets shaped by external expectations
  • Re-anchor purpose, clarity, and legacy
This is not a traditional spa or yoga retreat.
It is a deep, reflective leadership experience.
This retreat is designed for:
  • Multicultural and diaspora women
  • Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and hybrid identities
  • Women leaders, executives, founders, consultants, and creatives
  • Women navigating transition, reinvention, or quiet burnout
It is particularly relevant for women based in Australia and New Zealand, shaped by multicultural societies and global mobility.
Yên Tử is one of Vietnam’s most powerful spiritual sites and the birthplace of Trúc Lâm Zen Buddhism—a tradition founded by a king who chose conscious leadership over power.
It is a place historically dedicated to:
  • Reflection
  • Ethical leadership
  • Inner clarity
  • Detachment from ego and noise
Vietnam, while not the origin point for many participants, is a deeply cultural country, making it a powerful mirror for exploring belonging, identity, and leadership.
Legacy Yên Tử – MGallery is a heritage property inspired by a 13th-century Zen village and part of the MGallery Collection by Accor.
You can expect:
  • Group-exclusive, intimate settings
  • Architecture designed for contemplation
  • Refined, understated luxury
  • A strong sense of history, place, and legacy
This is not a resort experience—it is a cultural and spiritual environment aligned with the retreat’s depth.
The retreat is curated and led by My Holland.
Background highlights:
Themes include:
  • Identity, belonging, and cultural roots
  • LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) on identity and leadership

Yes, subject to availability.
If you wish to upgrade to single occupancy, please let us know well in advance.
We will liaise directly with the hotel on your behalf.
An additional cost will apply and will be confirmed once availability is secured.
Yes.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned and designed for comfort, rest, and quiet reflection.
There is Wi-Fi and mobile signal available at Yên Tử.
However, this retreat is designed as a space to gently disconnect from constant digital noise and reconnect inward.
You are welcome to:
  • Leave your mobile phone with us for safekeeping
  • Keep it on airplane mode
  • Use it occasionally to take photos
We encourage mindful use rather than constant connectivity — allowing you to be fully present with yourself and the experience.
The retreat follows a vegetarian menu.
This choice supports:
  • The spiritual tradition of Yên Tử
  • Lightness and clarity of mind
  • Connection to nature and living systems
Meals during the retreat are vegetarian to:
  • Respect the spiritual lineage of Yên Tử
  • Support clarity, grounding, and presence
  • Honour the principle of interconnectedness with all living beings
Dietary needs and allergies are fully respected.
Absolutely.
Please inform us in advance of:
  • Food allergies

  • Specific dietary needs
We will liaise directly with the kitchen to ensure your comfort and safety.

  • To take the cable car

  • Comfortable clothes and walking shoes (essential)
  • A light jacket or shawl, as it can be cooler and windy at the summit
  • A small day bag for water and personal items
You may choose to:
  • Walk part of the mountain path, or
  • Take the cable car (tickets are included)
The journey is designed to be accessible, respectful, and aligned with your energy.
No.
Participants may choose:
  • To walk part of the mountain (at their own pace), or
  • To take the cable car for part of the ascent. RT Cable car tickets are included.
There is no pressure to walk. The retreat is about inner leadership, not physical endurance.
We kindly ask that all participants commit to arriving on time and staying for the full duration of the retreat.
This experience is intentionally designed as a complete journey — each session builds on the next, and the group container relies on shared presence from beginning to end.
Arriving late or leaving early can disrupt both your own integration and the collective flow.
If you anticipate scheduling conflicts, we encourage you to join a future retreat when you can fully commit to the entire experience.
We accept payment bank transfer via WISE or bank transfer in:
  • AUD (Australian Dollars)
  • NZD (NZ Dollars)
  • USD (US Dollars)
  • VND (Vietnamese Dong)
Please note:
  • Any international bank or transfer fees are the responsibility of the participant
To keep the experience intentional and aligned, we use a simple two-step process:
  1. Fill out an application form You’ll also share a few reflections about where you are in your journey and what you’re hoping to gain from the retreat.
  2. Confirmation & payment Once your place is confirmed, you’ll receive payment details to secure your spot.
Because the group is limited to 12 participants, spaces are offered on a rolling basis once alignment is confirmed.
This ensures the retreat remains intimate, intentional, and the right fit for everyone attending.
Because the retreat is limited to 12 participants and requires advance planning, we have a structured cancellation policy:
  • More than 30 days before the retreat: Full refund minus a small administrative fee of 300USD.
  • 15–30 days before the retreat: 50% refund.
  • Less than 14 days before the retreat: Non-refundable.
However, your place may be transferred to another participant if you are able to find a replacement.
We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we will always communicate with care and fairness while honouring the commitments required to host an intimate experience.
Yes.
  • Early-bird pricing is available until the stated deadline
  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your place
Full details will be shared upon registration.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
While it may not be mandatory, having travel insurance provides peace of mind in case of:
  • Trip cancellations or delays
  • Unexpected illness or injury
  • Lost luggage or travel disruptions
  • Emergency medical expenses
As participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, insurance helps protect your investment and ensures you can fully relax and enjoy the retreat experience.

The Zen tea ceremony is a guided, contemplative experience rooted in presence, simplicity, and attention.
Rather than a performance or ritual, it is an invitation to:
  • Slow the nervous system
  • Practice deep listening and awareness
  • Experience leadership through stillness and intention
The ceremony supports reflection, grounding, and quiet connection—both to self and to the group.
Mindful walking is a gentle, guided practice of walking with awareness.
It focuses on:
  • Breath and bodily sensation
  • Connection to the natural surroundings of Yên Tử
  • Slowing mental noise and cultivating clarity
This is not a hike or fitness activity.
Participants move at a relaxed pace, with time to pause, reflect, and integrate insights.
The sound healing session uses carefully selected instruments and frequencies to support:
  • Deep relaxation
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Emotional integration
No prior experience is required.
Participants may sit or lie down comfortably and simply receive the experience.
This session complements the leadership work by creating space for non-cognitive integration.
These sessions are:
  • Slow, accessible, and non-performance-based
  • Focused on breath, awareness, and grounding
  • Designed to reconnect mind and body
There is no expectation of flexibility, fitness, or yoga experience.
Participation is optional, and alternatives such as quiet reflection are always respected.
The practices are contemplative rather than religious.
They are offered as:
  • Tools for presence and self-leadership
  • Ways to reconnect with the body and inner compass
  • Supports for clarity, not belief systems
Participants are welcome regardless of spiritual background.
Leadership is not only cognitive—it is embodied.
These practices help participants:
  • Move from constant doing to conscious being
  • Lead with clarity, regulation, and depth
  • Integrate insight beyond intellectual understanding
They support leadership that is sustainable, grounded, and human.
There may be light photography taken during selected moments of the retreat.
However:
  • No sessions will be recorded.
  • No personal sharing will be filmed.
  • Your privacy and psychological safety come first.
Any photos used for future communication will focus on atmosphere (nature, group setting, hands, silhouettes) rather than close-up personal content — and we will always seek consent before sharing identifiable images.
This is a protected space. Presence matters more than content.

Preparation

Connection & Community

We recommend:
  • Comfortable, breathable clothing for daytime sessions, reflection, and movement
  • Elegant yet relaxed attire for evening dinners
  • Layers are ideal, as temperatures can vary between morning and evening
This retreat blends inner work with refined hospitality — comfort and quiet elegance go hand in hand.
Please bring:
  • Comfortable clothes and walking shoes (essential)
  • A light jacket or shawl, as it can be cooler and windy at the summit
  • A small day bag for water and personal items
You may choose to:
  • Walk part of the mountain path, or
  • Take the cable car (tickets are included)
The journey is designed to be accessible, respectful, and aligned with your energy.
Each participant will receive a thoughtfully curated Welcome Gift Package, designed to honour memory, meaning, and cultural connection.
This includes:
  • A Vietnamese traditional Áo Dài (tunic)
  • A Nón Lá (traditional conical hat)
  • Additional meaningful items carefully selected to reflect the spirit of Yên Tử, mindfulness, and belonging
These are not souvenirs, but objects of remembrance, chosen with intention.
The retreat is intentionally limited to around 12 participants.
This small group size allows for:
  • Deep, meaningful conversations
  • Personalised guidance and facilitation
  • A safe and intimate atmosphere
  • Space for every voice to be heard
With just 12 participants, the experience remains focused, connected, and transformational rather than overwhelming.
Yes, absolutely.
You do not need any prior retreat experience to attend. This space is designed to welcome both first-timers and those who have joined retreats before.
In fact, many participants join their very first retreat here. You’ll be gently guided through the experience, with clear structure, supportive facilitation, and time to settle in at your own pace.
All you need is:
  • Openness
  • Curiosity
  • Willingness to show up for yourself
You don’t need to “know how to retreat.” You simply need to arrive.
Yes — spaciousness is intentionally built into each day.
While there are guided sessions and group experiences, there is also dedicated time for:
  • Personal reflection and journaling
  • Rest and integration
  • Quiet walks or time in nature
  • Simply being
Retreat is not about constant activity. It’s about rhythm — engagement and pause, conversation and silence.
You will have time to process, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
Yes. Absolutely.
This retreat is not designed for loud personalities or constant sharing. It is designed for depth.
You are welcome to:
  • Speak when you feel ready
  • Reflect quietly
  • Take space when needed
  • Participate in ways that feel authentic to you
There is no pressure to perform, impress, or dominate conversations.
In fact, many introverts thrive in retreat settings — where conversations are meaningful, pauses are respected, and silence is honoured.
You don’t need to be more extroverted to belong.
You simply need to be yourself.
Yes. In fact, most participants arrive not knowing anyone.
The retreat is intentionally designed to create connection gently and organically. Through guided conversations, shared experiences, and small-group moments, bonds form naturally — without forced networking or superficial icebreakers.
You won’t be walking into a closed circle.
You’ll be stepping into a carefully held space where everyone begins as equals.
By the end, what often surprises people is not that they come alone — but how deeply connected they feel.

After the Retreat

Connection doesn’t end when the retreat closes.
After the retreat, we will:
  • Create a private WhatsApp (or similar) group for participants
  • Share photos and reflections
  • Offer optional follow-up check-ins or online gatherings
Many participants naturally continue supporting one another — as collaborators, accountability partners, or simply kindred spirits.
The retreat is a beginning, not an ending.
Yes.
Participants will have the option to:
  • Join a 3-month post-retreat coaching program
  • Continue leadership integration and reflection
A post-retreat community dinner may also be organised in Australia or New Zealand.
While every journey is personal, participants often leave with:
  • Greater clarity about their next chapter
  • A deeper connection to themselves
  • Renewed courage to make aligned decisions
  • Emotional spaciousness and inner calm
  • A supportive circle of like-minded women
This retreat is not about quick fixes or surface inspiration.
It is about integration.
You may not leave with all the answers — but you will leave with stronger questions, clearer direction, and the grounded confidence to move forward with intention.
Yes.
Participants may:
  • Extend their stay in Yên Tử or Hanoi
  • Travel onward independently
  • Join a Hạ Long Bay cruise with family and friends
Extensions are not included in the retreat package.
